Just curious, what is that bracketed object next the the exhaust cam gear? The thing that looks like a throttle cable. I've seen them on a few turbo cars and I have no clue what it is or what it does.

ITS A CAM TRIGGER KIT HERES SOME INFO FROM T1'S WEBSITE...

The use of this kit allows you to change from the factory honda mag sensors in the distributor to a more precise digital signal from this sensor. Many aftermarket ecus read the Hall signal much better than they do the oem signal from the distributor. A lot of times you'll notice a smoother idle & much smoother power at high rpm. This also allows complete removal of the factory distributor when a multi channel CDI box & individual coils are used with it. If you want to keep a single channel ignition box & the distributor, then this setup can still be used. These signals are on the input side of the ecu, while the ignition system is on the output. Any combination of ignition box/coils will work.
The standard kit consists of 1 Golden Eagle cam gear that's been machined & custom fit with rare earth magnets installed in it, 1 Dual Pole hall sensor & it's mating conncector, the billet sensor bracket, & installation instructions.

so the only benefits is smoother idle at high rpms and removal of distrubitor? is that really worth it ......

smoother idle, and you'll have less breaking up at higher rpm, its a much better system than the stock ecu for high horsepower engines. It's definitely worth it

yea but what u all dont understand is that when u get in 500hp ranges its a mostly drag car and i dont want that...i want to be able to drive this on the road and not have problems with it. i dont want a car i can only handle at the track. or someting i have to cage it. if i build my si and want more power i will build another car and cage it and make ita drag car but i really dont see me goin over 500hp in my si

you can make 500whp daily driven and reliable. it all depends on your parts, your tune, your driving and your maintenance. of you can get a boost controller that scrambles. so at the hit of a button, it will scramble to 20lbs or whatever you set it to, and youll get that 500+ hp for 30 seconds and then it goes back to your setting for daily driving.

yes i know 500hp can be reliable and daily driver but i live in a city with a lot of stop and go driving...and 500hp aint built for that. i dont drive interstates and freeways everyday or it would be another option. i did think about saving 2 tunes one for around 300 and another for 500+ but i think that is to much for right now. and why would u just want 500+ for 30 seconds?

lol, well have any of your races ever lasted longer than 30 seconds? especially when youre putting down 500whp, youre gonna be flying by and youll be lucky if they last more than 5 seconds. even with stop and go driving, that doesnt mean anything. if you have a turbo capable of 500whp, its not going to spool until 4000rpm or so, that means that you can daily drive it without hitting boost if you wanted to.

What alot of people seem to not understand is, a 500hp TURBO car is nothing like a hardly idling 500hp NA car. You can make 1000 hp and still be able to drive it around just fine. Good luck doing that with a NA car.

no cages are just needed if you run a 11.99 or faster i think you could have 124135135hp and run a 12.01 and not need a cage
