pics of my recent install and updates (lots o' pics)
Ok, well this winter I decided that I sadly didnt have enough money to finish building my currently longblock that has high mileage 140k or so...anyways, to get me by until I can afford to sleeve it and what not, I purchased a 9k mile 98 LS longblock for 750 from a guy semi-local to me, and it was from an auto
Anyway, I'm extremely happy to be back on the road...here are some updated pics and a timeline of the install:
The beginning everything stripped off the old one
Pulled the motor, it was an odd site to see nothing in the engine bay
Heres the new motor, waiting to be put in
new motor, finally in...and back together...
turbo pics for you fanatics...
pics of the electronics and "management" for now...
and finally just because i can, some pics of the exterior and new exhaust (es oval, extremely quiet)
there ya go guys, enjoy sorry, thats alot of pics i know, but i got excited

Re: pics of my recent install and updates (Specialk)
Spoolin,
what air filter is that on the turbo? I was thinking of just putting a eclipse K&N filter on. I heard the older model turbo ones fit perfect directly on the turbo? Is it better to have it connected to a pipe?
Thanks in advance.

Re: pics of my recent install and updates (ladysman)
Specialk: The JDM steering wheel doesnt look odd with the tan interior...but then again, it wont be tan for long im converting to black when i get the rest of the pieces...
Ladysman: its just a universal filter I got at autozone, they were out of k/n's at the time so i settled for that...I would like to get an elbow so i can run it to the bottom of the car like a CAI, but ive had alot of trouble so far getting one to fit correctly with the way my turbo sits...

you should have cleaned up the engine bay while the motor was out .
