Pics of built b18c5 block and race car
We started assembling the B18c5 blockthat John Brown of JBR built for us. Of all the motors Ive seen this one has the most awesome sleeve job ive ever seen, if anyone can identify these sleeves... THEY ARE AWESOME. I took many pics in my local garage here in Trinidad, Peak Performance. I also took some pics of my race car the old Castrol Civic shell I will post some other pics of some of the other project cars that are building in the garage.

Thanks I love the sleeves, what is that star shaped block guard like shaped piece that fits between the block and sleeves?...is that a GE design? I havent spoken to John since he shipped the motor.

I agree, they look to be Golden Eagle sleeves.

Well...yup they are the best Golden Eagle all the way!!! Glad to see you got the motor, by the way that motor has got to be one of the cleanest I have seen lately! Golden Eagle incorporates the open jacket design for coolant flow to the head, as well as the copper O-rign for better sealing when fitted to the head. Hope to see some good times!! JUST TUNE THE DAM THING right.

Yep theyre golden eagle sleeves.
So if its a b18c5 block from john brown, im assuming its "brand new" correct? Better hope that under the b18c5, there is no big DOT stamped into the casting...

Re: Pics of built b18c5 block and race car (Gmedalion)
Sorry, where I live is in Trinidad in the Caribbean, our classes run 15's, 14's, 13's etc... So I ran in 10's this season. With the new motor and some tunning we hope to run in the 9's. I am hoping maybe next year to bring the car to the east coast to participate in some races.
