You mean Random Grip. Never seen one work right. Biggest bunch of crap. I would go with a KAAZ or a Quaife or even a Type-R diff.

I would never pay 200+ for a couple of freaking metal plates and some springs. What a joke, what a rip off. I mean, if I wanted cheap, I'd just weld the diff myself and have it for FREE.

There are only like 2 people here using them. You'd better get advice elsewhere if you want real opinions. Not trying to **** anybody off, but it's just like I said the last time...

Everybody I have known that used one liked it.

Everybody that doesn't like it has never used one.

Most people that say buy Kaaz, etc are like me and can't afford one, so they don't have one of those either.

Spring for a Quaife! Like someone stated you could search other forums for other opinions, I've never used one, but have seen the after affects of one playing the roll of a gernade. I sprung for the Quaife myself.

If anybody ever finds a place that will sell a quaife for a decent price, let me know. It's plain rediculous how these places take advantage of the import crowd. ****, I bet there are now more people buying parts for Hondas than Mustangs, and last time I checked a posi diff for a 9 inch ford was only like $200 as opposed to what....approx $1000 for a Honda (Quaife)?

as the same for everything else that goes into an import.Rod companies will charge the same or more for a set of connecting rods for a honda then they would for some v8!! four connecting rods versus eight?!?!?

Yep that's what kills me about cams, they get you in the ***...

Ford Motorsport Roller Cam....$100
Comp Cams SB Ford Cam.....$100
Comp Cams DOHC Cam (Pair).......$700
Comp Cams SOHC Cam ................$700

Just doesn't add up!!!
And how these companies charge the same for one cam as two, I will never understand....granted, a SOHC cam should not be half as much as a pair of DOHC cams, but it should be at LEAST $100 less at those prices because they only need one cam core.

A posi and an LSD are totally different. POSI's do not allow any slippage so they suck when you have to turn while LSD's use gears, *****, or disc to control slippage/lockup. Some of the new posi's use plates but the design is totally different from an LSD.

Import car part prices suck. It's bad when a SET of ported, big valve, roller valve train, aftermarket aluminum big block check heads barely cost more than getting a single p&p'ed DOHC Honda head with valve train for high rpm. THAT IS SICK! Why doesn't Crane and Crower make hi performance aluminum and steel valve retainers for imports. Sorry, I'll stop whining now!

Stay away from the Phantom jip because any diff that uses stock spider gears is nothing more than a grenade waiting for you to pull the pin!

ABAZ used one.

He said he couldn't tell the difference.

RIP OFF

Buy one if you want metal flakes to roam around in your tranny.

I'm using the D16A1's CG (86-89 USDM Integra) tranny in my setup. OPM makes an LSD for it, but I'm not sure that I want to spends $600 on an LSD for a tranny that cost me $99. About 2 weeks ago, Pick N Pull had a manager's special. All trannies were $49/each. If I wasn't so tired and dirty at the time, I would have grabbed a few more.
