people running an mf2.....help
geeezzz, i swear i think i have one problem figured out and another arises......
okay well i have an fmax kit with mf2, and the problem i am having is that when i start up the car i have the red lights, but when i test drive it and hit boost there is no green light. it also threw a cel, i jumped it and it gave me a code 3.....map sensor.....my question is, if the map sensor is not reading boost would that screw up the mf2 from working properly? i have checked all the connections and they are correct.
i would LOVE to go standalone but dont have the dough, so please dont tell me thats the answer, i need some tech help on my mf2.
thank you for any assistance you guys can give me.

despite what you'll here the mf2 is a GREAT unit.
you still need a missing link or equivilent on your stock map sensor. now I'm not at home right now, but when I get home on sunday i can send you a good write up on tuning it. but just to get it working. turn the ignition on, but not the engine. turn the boost threshold till the light turns green. then turn it back as light as you can till it goes off. now the threshold is tuned.
as for the map, it should be ok from fmax, but not perfect. its probably rich, but could be anything. i would tune it asap just to make sure.
once its tuned its a great unit. strong w/ no hesitation. i'm finally switching to hondata after over a year of it working perfectly. honostly im hesitant to switch it worked so good, im just looking for more power and higher boost.
if you have any more questions feel free to ask...but i wont be around much till this sunday. good luck, and no matter what don't lett the hype from others let you think its garbage...they dont know ****.

I know this is not what you want to hear but i also have a fmax kit. ERL did a good job with the MF2 unfortunatly it doesn't work very well with a honda. My first one burned up and it took me 2 months through f-max to do anything about it. Then i was boosting and guess what it fried again leaving me with no fuel for 9 psi. You do still need a missing link. Try to find someone with a afc for sale and do the afc-hack. for low boost the response is much higher than with the MF2.
The mf2 uses its own map sensor so i doubt the factory one has anyhting to do with the mf2 problem.
Every F-max kit i have seen uses those extra injectors as air plugs. Just like i do.
No offense F-max guru.... just my 2 cents.

what the heck is a missing link?

Missing link prevents your stock map sensor from seeing boost or positive manifold pressure so you don't set a check engine light off...
As with that setup you really need one for the thing to function right.

yup i shure do. I actually have one that i was going to sell in a combo with an fmu. If you want it let me know we might be able to work somthing out. It will stop your map sensor check engine light by never allowing the sensor to see boost.
