IIRC open loop is when the engine is running entirely off of the fuel maps on the ECU. Some examples of when your car is in open loop is if you are WOT, or if you have closed loop disabled through Uberdata or Crome. When you are in closed loop your O2 sensor readings going to the ECU cause the engine to make slight fuel changes. An example of closed loop operation is when you are at idle or cruising conditions. If you disable closed loop then at idle and cruising the O2 sensor doesn't correct fuel.

I believe that's how it goes.

EDIT: I think when you are tuning people usually disable closed loop (put it in open loop). Then once they have their AFR's where they want them they enable closed loop.

Can uberdata idle 1000cc injectors? I'm just curious if it can do that.

Yes it can do it. The fuel modifiers are being worked on right now, and that will make it even easier to do.

i haven't had problem partial throttle tuning uberdata. tune partial trottle ranges by columns and then wot by rows. works every time and no need to data log if you don't have it.
