Default part throttle tuning question

alright so today i noticed something on my all motor lsvtec. i have the afr at wot tuned to 12.8 give or take a tenth or so. problem lies when i go part throttle. im still at the 0.8" column as i were at wot but the afr is much richer, right about 12 flat if not 11.9. its the same cells as when i go wot and if i change the value it becomes noticeably leaner when wide open.

im using neptune. is there some tps correction or something that i am overlooking? or is this just part of the game here. this is my daily driver and i do accelerate on occasion but dont drive around wide open throttle all the time

Your saying your map sensor referencing the 0.8" column at partial throttle at under 50% throttle while driving on a flat road at a constant speed and throttle position?

its not cruising its when accelerating, just not floored.

ok theres the map, low cam 2d. the top line is the .8" and has an afr in the high 12s when floored.
the subsequent 2 lines are 2.5 and 4.2" respectively. they both have an afr around 13.2 13.4. i have it a tad bit rich as the motor is about 12:1 and using itr cams with a p30im to have a nice midrange which it does. after that afr holds high 13s until 10" where is goes to mid 14's through the cruising columns up to 21" . vtec is set at 5000rpm.

If that is the case everything is working the way it should.
You can run slightly leaner air fuel ratios then high 12s at 0.8" in the lower rpm range by simply editing the fuel table.

ok this is good to hear. most of the cars i tune are forced induction and would go into boost columns so i guess im not used to this.

i have it a bit rich i had some specks on the plugs any leaner and i didnt get it on the dyno yet. im actually waiting for them to call me back so i can schedule a day to dyno tune

You're all motor now? It sounds like you need to adjust your load columns to give you a little more resolution on the vac side of the table. You have 24 columns to play with..

i still have my turbo car. this is the 2000 ex that i daily drive. i had a ton of parts lying around from doing the honda thing for a decade and decided to throw this lsvtec together.

and muckman you were right i just needed to make more vacuum columns for more resolution. i was just being super lazy about it in the past. i just made a 1" hg column which hopefully will help differentiate for the motor between being wide open 100% at .6"hg and in the throttle like 70% but not 100%.

i also made a 23" and 20" column to help out when i use the air conditioner it doesnt lean it out too much. normally no load i idle at 22.8-23.2" and with the a/c on it drops to about 20.4". ill upload the new calibration tomorrow and drive around to finish it off
