P28 ECU for LS w/ old school hondata.. (Hesitation revisited)
okay, i know this has been covered last year, but the problem is still haunting me to this day...HESITATION, w/ my hondata 2b system..!!!!
i remember reading that the P74-75 and 72 ecu's had a little glitch in them when used with the old hondata systems which caused the hesitation issues.. Anyways, after countless searches and reading, i've decided to go with a p28 ecu and wire it up w/ my 2b system and run it on my LS turbo...
my question to u guys is, will this be a beneficial solution in helping to solve and eliminate my problem?? or am i completely going in the wrong direction about this? I am really tired of the hesitation during cruising at certain rpm and load points and its driving me nutts.. So please, if anyone of you out there can help me, please do so.. else, i'm gonna have to give up on my 2b completely
THanks,

i highly doubt its tuning because when the car runs in open loop, there is virtually no hesitation at any load or rpm...
tuning was done w/ a wb for partthrottle and on the dyno... FYI

Re: P28 ECU for LS w/ old school hondata.. (92HB_HB)
At one point, I had some form of hesitation with my 4B system. After talking with Hondata, they told me it has to do with the interface box. They said to make sure it was not grounding out (ie. screwed into a metal surface - ground). After I confirmed that the hesitation still occurred with unit (even though it was not grounded), they sent me up some new chips (for inside the interface box). I replaced them...and don't believe I have had many problems since.
I haven't heard of this occurring with any of the blue boxes, etc. (I am still using the large silver aluminum interface box).

I would suggest that you call the dealer or Hondata to fix this problem. Might be the PIC(chip) inside the interface box needs to be replaced. What Version of interface box are you using?
