I am sure all of the things you listed contribute to this. I know my manifold and dumptube are right next to the radiator. This just causes increased heat in the area (over normal). I am running one of B18bturbo's 12" fans with a shroud that I made. I think I might go ahead and shell out the money for a FAL fan. I do not know how they compare as far as CFM's, maybe I can find something on them.

FAL Fan=Pretty fan no better than one from Autozone, Advance Auto or B18BTurbo Viren IMO

Just thinking about out of the box ideas but what if it is has also something to do with extreme underhood temps.

Possibly a vented hood might help??

Viren sells fans , here is the info fom his site(these are just like the Autozone/Advance Autoparts fans)

"Name: Pro Form 12

Pro Form 12" Slim Line Fans.
1400CFM Push/Pull Style
Comes w/Mounting hardware. "

For $60 COMPARED TO $169+ FOR A FAL

We've used the Autozone/Advance Auto Parts/Pep Boys slim line fans and they work PERFECT. Unfortunately TOO MANY companies make fancy colors for the Import Market and BAAAM every kid thinks they need that. K.I.S.S.=Keep It Simple Stupid Don't get fooled by so many gimmicks really.

Where is this shroud at? Unless your in a climate that doesn't get HOT your gonna need a fan with a shroud pulling high CFM's to cool the radiator efficiently. Especially with a Huge IC. BTW my FAL was $149 and i had already wasted $69 on a push puller 12" fan which didn't work. Plus you should come test in a HOT climate of AZ Also I'm no kid, I research what works and I don't mind paying the price for quality. FAL

what about putting a fan on the outside of the rad like in between the rad and the IC and have it blow toward the motor?
