OVERHEATING ..... Need ideas why??
Ok, so my car finally came out of the shop:
84mm sleeved B18C1
Full-Race Manifold
T4/T67
Koyo Radiator
Hondata
Now for some reason the car is overheating. No smoke from the exhaust, no abnormal driving behaviors. The car will drive for about 15-20 minutes then all of a sudden just start slowly moving up in temperature until it gets to hot. We have pulled the thermostat completely out of the car and the overheating still occurs. Any ideas as to why my car is randomly overheating? Engine only has about 45 miles on it since being sleeved and rebuilt.

User Mike1114 had a list with the usual suspects on here somewhere. Since they just built the engine, I would try things in this order:
1. Put a honda thermostat back in (and leave it in)
2. Let the car run with the rad cap off for a while (15 minutes) after you fill it up with around 60-70% water and the rest coolant and look for the bubbles
3. Make sure your fan is coming on
4. Get an oil cooler (if you don't have one already)
Mine (and a few others) did the same thing, but the aluminum radiator all but solved my problem. I just drove my car 7 hours to NC and it only went a little over half. Granted my setup is more mild then yours.....

Well if you already checked the things above (mainly the OEM Honda thermostat), then it is something else:
1. IC blocking air to rad as mentioned, not much you can do but make a vent etc.
2. Reduce temps another way, oil cooler, coating, wrapping, whatever.
I have to be honest, there are some big hp cars running around with stock radiators. I don't know how.
Along the same lines, there are a lot of people on here that have been having this same problem. No definitive answer, just wait until winter to drive I guess. Good luck.

Intercooler is your problem. I am having the same issue, and I have the same IC. It does not allow air to the radiator. I also compound my problem by having my DP right by the rad. I have tried everything except cutting the bumper, for which I do not want to do. I added a second fan, it seemed to help but I still have to turn the heater on when at a stop. Good luck.
you can try pancaking a cupple of radiator fans just to see if that helps the ones for a/c are real small and you can modify them to work in about any small space. But this might be avoiding the problem at hand
