Default Overheating with high boost?

Are you guys having overheating issues with high boost? It seems like my coolant temps would go really high(pass 3/4 on the temp gauge) after I make a 1/4 mile run.

I never had this problem when I was running 10psi... Thermostat is new, coolant is full and not boiling over, fan is on(aftermarket 10" puller), single row half-sized radiator .

Could it be the radiator being too small?

A customer brought me a car with the same issue. It turned out to be the headgasket. 40% leakdown on 2 cylinders and still made 475 whp at 17 psi.
