Default Overheating.....

When I cruise my car over about 65mph my EGT gauge is reading roughly 1200 degrees F. I know that this is way to hot and was wondering if there are any easy solutions. btw: I'm running a Drag 3 turbo kiton a stock motor with 440cc injectors, and a VAFC II, and only running 8psi. Does anyone have any ideas? Also what is the hottest that is still safe...? Sorry if this is real basic... Thanks in advance.

where is your EGT probe located. on the 3rd runner ?

do you know what your A/F looks like ?

to know what your safe point depends on your internals, if there stock i think it's like ~1300 or something. im not sure on that.

a/f uner 1???
Anyways, 1200f should be fine. Most DSM guys I've chatted with (and it three weeks-myself) tune out around 1500degrees. Past that...your getting hot.

Im tapped 1" away from the head on the third runner and my highway cruising temps are usually 1400 F

Dont get to worried about egts... unless they are abnormally high, or low

if its a stock motor you need to upgrade you cooling capabilities for your engine, better radiator, oil cooler, and do mixture of 10% redline 40% radiator fluid and %50 percent water
