Default overheat issues, need some help, advice

man its a huge different from all motor to turbo, these damn turbo motor runs so much hotter lol. anyways here to see if i can get my over heat issues solved.

before I begin, here is my set-up with the cooling system

lsvtec stock enternals
ramhorn manifold
garrett t3t4 57 trim
big front mount intercooler (completely blocks the airpath to the radiator)
half size Civic oem dual core radiator
OEM civic fan with shroud
GSR water pump
autozone thermostat(forgot the spec on this stat)
about 50/50 water and green antifreeze mixed and mixed in a little bit of water wetter
deleted the oem fan switch because ***** not engaging the fan anymore.
I rigged up a manual switch to turn the fan on.

okay now this is what ive been noticing....

1st I am getting over heat issues while the engine is idling after i drive it around with the fan off, if i turn on fan then cools it down to normal operating temp.

2nd This is with the FAN on, When im doing constant 70-80mph on the freeway the temp gage goes up, if i stay at 70mph the gage is a little over halfway and if i stay at 80mph the temp gage goes up close to the top hot line.

3rd with the FAN on, If I stay at 65mph on the freeway then temperature is normal.

im thinking i need a upgrade on my cooling system. what should i start with first?

do coolant flush, get 50/50 Dexcool from autozone. its what i'm running on my setup. ditch the stock civic rad. get a blox dual core. there only 180$. with 10in slim fan. replace your water pump with a gsr water pump. you should be good from then on.

dude i have a prety close set up to you ( turbo wise) and my cooling system is,

170deg Tstat ( autzone special 13$ + gasket)
Fan Turns on through Neptune at 175 deg
Ebay dual core Half Rad was 65$ or 70$ shipped
12in Ebay Slim fan 20$ or 25$ shipped on the Front of the Rad Pushing threw it
Stock Fan Pulling with shroud
coolent mix is 50/50
My car dont over heat at all even on 100deg days.

Simple prety cheap works great.

Good Luck dude!!!

Im glad all your cheap ebay fans worked.. Those $25 fans are crap. I was still running hot and in bumper to bumper traffic would get really hot sitting still on a hot florida day..

I got this fan from xenocron and havent had 1 issue and im at 185/195 on hot days.

Slap it on and call it a day.. it pulls so much air it sounds like a hair dryer.
