Default Over Heating Problem

-built H22 on boost, 94 accord-

I've been over heating while boosting 10psi
Anti-freeze sprays out of the radiator cap.

Want some opinions for what could be the problem.
I figure everyone is going to say get a bigger radiator

-brand new water pump
-2year old thermostat
-stock accord radiator

The car runs fine when im boosting high but shifting before vtec. Overheats when i max out each gear.

It got so hot in cylinder 4 that the spark plug gap melted closed.

opinions?
fans work btw

If it's spraying out of your radiator cap, then your cap isn't working and your system isn't staying pressurized. Pressurizing a coolant system raises the boiling temperature and it sounds like your car is hitting 212 degrees (assuming your just running water) and it's boiling over instead of the excess going into your overflow tank.

Could also be your headgasket maybe isn't sealing and your coolant system is pressurizing (happens to a TON of turbo imports).

I'd go ahead and replace your thermostat and radiator cap since it's cheap and easy.

Golden Eagle head gasket and arp headstuds. Only has 1200miles on them. I don't think the headgasket is blown.

Im using anti-freeze not water.

I was thinking bad cap.
So no one thinks its because to small of a radiator?
Im running like 400+hp

Running heat all the time full blast allows for your coolant to circulate and lets your temperatures drop. However this isnt a permanent fix to your problem. If I were you, I would check to make sure youre not getting head lift.

What head studs are you using? And what are they torqued to? What Headgasket?

ARP headstuds 3 stage torq to 80tq- re-torqued at 900miles
golden eagle headgasket

all 8 studs were perfect when i did the retorq

so just checked my oil and had a good amount of antifreeze in the oil. SOO looks like my headgasket is bad.

now the questions is what caused it..
-bad radiator cap leaked water cause overheating and killed the gasket
-bad sleeve?

the build setup is darton sleeves, cp low comp piston, pauter rods, skunk2 valves-springs-cams-gears- retainers. 87mm

It's not really to do with the small radiator....I have 600 whp and only have a half size radiator and run my AC around town on 95 degree days. Coolant temps get to 220 degrees.

Your radiator cap sounds fried, your headgasket either was blown or wasn't sealing properly.

Pull the head, put a new GE headgasket on, torque your studs...let sit for hour, the loosen and re-torque all at once, and also replace your radiator cap and report back.

Also, you should be running a SPAL 13" HP fan if you have a half size radiator...all other fans are a waste of money.

Should i spend the extra money again and get another golden eagle gasket or would a nippon racing one work just as good?

I havent had the time to take the head off yet but i should have it done by next week.

So, im thinkink radiator cap was bad and leaked. car overheated and killed the gasket.
