Default Over heating on boosted EM2

Hey im using my friends account on here, but i have a 05 honda civic thats turboed that we just bought. we are having problems with it over heating. This is what it does. As long and i drive the car normal it does not run hot at all but if i start playing with the car and driving it some what hard, not like racing it or anything the temp gauge will run way up after i stop driving it hard, like i was just to start crusing at 55 or just drining in town. but the gauge will never show its hot while rodding it. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong. thanks.

pretty much i can run the dog **** out of it and it wont over heat untill after i stop diving it hard

This is the first thing that came to mind. If it does, also check to see if after a few minutes with the car off if the coolant flows back into the radiator from the overflow bottle.

this is actually my acount so its not my car but the car is mostly stock with a turbo added and tuned on an aem fic with the stock radiator etc the car does have ac and power steering im not sure what temp the fans kick on and water doesnt boil into the overflow. i told him that he should get an after market water temp gauge that actually has numbers not just grey bars with red bars at the top cause that doesnt really tell you a hole lot.... i have not actually seen what his car is doing yet so im just going off what he has told me

mine overflowed when eng. temp was 220. I am currently replaceing radiator with a mitsbushi 2core civic half, shroud, and prob. gonna have to get a spal 1700cfm puller fan (20 amp) i believe. i will then use my cheaper slim fan. for the condensor. oh yea and lot of wrap exhaust tape and turbo blanket at the end.
