so i went for a drive tonight after work, just surface streets... about 30minutes in, the temp gauge starts to rise towards the middle.
then about 5 minutes later, the coolant gauge starts more towards the hot, while the TACH starts to jump around, then all power is lost. pull into closest drive way...
my first concern was the temp gauge, i figured i was maybe low on coolant... so i wanted to start it back up and drive accross the street to get some h2o.
turn the key and nothing, lights come on but absolutely no juice to crank it over. luckly my friend lived right down the street and came down to give me a jump. started no problem...
go across to fill h2o, rad cap is still too hot so fill overflow tank to capacity and the system immeadiltly sucks some up.
idling for about 2-3 minutes and the needle starts moving towards hot from about normal, then stops at half. then the needle shoots towards hot, and then the fan kicked on and brought the needle back to normal.
so after a few more minutes of idling i decide to try to make it home, on the way, as i apply throttle, the TACH jumps around, and the temp needle slowly rises over middle, as i even out the throttle the temp gauge drops back down to normal and the TACH resumes normal service... when give gas it happened again all the way home... BUT I MADE IT HOME.
so whaddaya think?
