what? you dont have a cooler full of beer in your passenger seat? NO WAY! I bet having a couple cold ones in there bumps the efficiency of the unit

Also to the guy in Medford...The Dalles is way hotter than Medford. Check yearly stats...WE ROCK YOU!

You hook it up like a regular AC System, I've found sources that sell to the public and I'm willing to try them for my interior cooling and intercooler water system.

IIRC, people usually remove AC for amazing weight reductions (=P) over space issues. I'll admit in my 4g4dr it's going to be tough fitting a 3" dp in there, and I need an adapter that swings the turbo down a bit to use the HF manifold. But honestly, I'm going to use my LX's power options to the fullest. Weight be damned, that's what boost is for.

I'd much rather solve the problem of space limitations than drive around with swap crotch.

Hold on there.... most 12 volt compressor dont have the btu's to be doing that.

You need at least 10-14k to be saftisfied . 24 volt compressors often provide that.

I would love to have AZ heat again. All you need out there is a bit of mist to cool down. The heat transfer from evaprotive cooling works great. Plus, when your body sweats its actually accomplishing something. Virginia Beach has been hitting the High 1Teens with an ambient of 94 or so. So humid that sweat just stacks on sweat....no cooling effect. Sun, Shade, Car....makes no diiference in heat unless you have AC. I would give a sweaty right nut to get the dry heat back!!!!!

Here is a solution for you peeps in Hot, Dry locations.

http://www.southwest-solar.com...D=111

A Swamp cooler:
229 dollars, small, efficient, No Ice needed, 12 V Cigarette adapter, will not effect your gas mileage.

I would buy one if I lived in the southwest. Here in Florida it is way to humid for swamp coolers to efficient.

no, its more complicated than that... its a swamp cooler... you can make it yourself though if you have evaporating fins and a pump.

This one looks sick, probably not worth it being that the one in my first link is hundreds cheaper and i know it worked from first hand experience, but for those of you with thick pockets. http://www.swampy.net/ac12.html You could run the cooler in the trunk and run the hose through the back seat. And for track and race days you could easily remove it.

ok ...get a 12v moter and pully.....us a belt hook up all the motor to the ac pump...do your custom lines and ur all good....the 12v motor is gonna be pricey cause it's gotta have some horse's to push that compressor....hide it in the trunk...then know one can tell you have a ghetto ac....puttin one of those chest cooler's is way ghetto...maybe flush out ur wheel well in the back ..then go underneath and cut it out put everything there...then it's easy to access and it's out of the car so noise should be good...then you can still use ur stock airbox and controls.....doesn't sound to bad to me...maybe tryin to find the right 12v motor...any body know how much torque the compressor needs to run right...i'll try to find a 12v motor...i just need spec's on the compressor
