Re: O'Ring Block
I'm currently at 550 but whenever I run the car hard it fills the radiator overflow bottle but it does not overheat or anything. Just wondering if this is a sign that it needs it.

Re: O'Ring Block
Sorry for the delay.
spoolin quick4 turbo manifold, 3 inch DP, BW366, 9-5 comp pistons, stock port gsr head with victor X intake, supertech valvetrain, arp head studs, oem head gasket, darton sleeved b18c block 81mm, oem bearings, AEM ECU.
Car was making about 525hp on about 20lbs boost but had to stop there because the fuel pump was going. A Bosch 044 has since been installed but has not gone back on the dyno.

Re: O'Ring Block
if your not overheating, and your not causing your radiator, or your hoses to go nuclear upon WOT, id be hard pressed to go right to cylinder pressure leaking into the cooling system via the head gasket. does your coolant look brown by chance? combustion gases getting into the cooling system would cause a color change in the coolant. the only thing i could think of if thats the case is that you have reached the limit of the OEM MLS gasket, and need to start looking at maybe a single layer copper gasket or some other head gasket alternative for a closed deck block. If your not really showing signs of gases crossing over into the cooling system, I would assume that your generating so much heat so fast that your over pressurizing the system and causing it to push back into the overflow. Theres a reason that overflow is there for situations like that, however uncommon they may be.

Re: O'Ring Block
if its not running hot or making your radiator look like a taco then its not head lift IMO. Sounds more like a coolant flow issue IE blocked radiator or coolant passage, incorrect waterpump. etc...

Re: O'Ring Block
I forgot to mention that earlier also. It recently started to over heat. But before it would just push the water back to the overflow. I cant see a difference in the coolant colour as it the genuine honda coolant which is blue.
It has the correct water pump.

Orings oem gasket and evo 10 studs is the way we do it some people have better luck other ways though... I don't think orings are needed under 650-700 hp though.

Re: O'Ring Block
Ok I spoke to a friend of mine who has a 800 plus HP integra and the first thing he asked was, what was the limit for stock headgasket because he is running a stock gasket and pushing 800 horses. Also list a few other cars on island that use stock and have 600 - 700 HP. His thing was the car was tuned on c16 and being driven on the street with regular pump gas. But the thing is, when on the street its on no more than 15lbs of boost.
