Ordeirng IC piping.. Help me decide on Pipe Routing!
Its a B18C in a CRX, with a Fullrace manifold, and a T3/T4 turbo. Stock block, 300whp goal
Since there will only be room to mount the compressor inlet out thats how it will be done. The intercooler is a 350HP Precision unit, and 2.5" stainless piping will be used for the charge piping.
I really like the way the inlet/outlets are on that IC, as most know, there isnt a lot of room to play around in the engine bay of an EF, and that style makes it easier to route the piping..
Now, I want something similar.. I was wondering if i used a 90 deg silicone bend like this..
Then i could create tight bends off the IC, just wondering how this would restrict flow.. ?
Then from there, i would have a similar setup to the IC in the picture above?
Then the IC would fit nicely with the 90's between the framerails, and i could route my piping similar to shown in these pics..
So how does that sound? Heres the parts list i have so far...
3 90deg bends (for the inlet)
3 45deg bends (for the outlet)
Couple straight pieces..
And ill get 1 extra of each just incase.. And i may have to cheat certain bends as well.
So how does that sound?? Do i have the right idea.. My First setup BTW.

Or would something like this (Option #2) be a better idea?

That is the PTE 600HP intercooler, which is a good amount wider than your cooler. You won't need to wrap the piping around right off the end tanks.

So it seems like i will just have to wait till i get my IC, stick it in there and see how it looks?.. Just trying to get what i need so i dont have to wait on parts.
