Default Optimum A/F ratio.

What is the optimum air/fuel ratio for a turbo car? Around 14.1?

14.1? Hmm No.

Every motor handles differently so I'm not comfortable in telling you a specifc afr is best for a car. The only way is to goto the dyno and let your tuner do it for you.

The irony of your signature.....

Anyway, optimum is to be determined on the dyno/street with a wideband. But your typically looking at ~12.5:1 for a boosted car. 14.7:1 is considered stoic, which theoretically all the gas would combine with all the oxygen and all of it would get burned.

idle.. yes
boost .. HELL NO!!

Safe is 11.4~11.9
best power is 12.0~12.5!

Do not try 12.5 if you are not an excellent tuner with good gas readily available because a boost spike will easily kill a 12.5 AFR motor after the you go into a lean condition.

Is there a decent wideband or a/f monitor for under $300 that is pretty accurate for tuning it on the street.
