Default Opinions on Pauter rods?

Any opinions on Pauter rods? I'm thinking about going with them on my new engine. I know there not as popular but they seem to have some advantages over Crower. Anyone running or have any experience with them? Or should I just go with Crower?

Pauter rods have a great reputation. Crower forged 4340 are great too, although as I am sure you know they are expensive. Can't go wrong either way!

if i had to choose with what i know about both crower and pauter, i'd go with pauter simply because of the problems i've read about with the crower pin bushings. if crower has fixed this without my knowledge, i'd still go with pauter just becaue it's different and they have a HELL of a reputation just like crower.

I understand Crower has changed the small end of their rods by making it wider. Might help their bushing wear problem. Only took them 5 years. Thanks for nothing, Crower.

Pauter rods are pretty solid from what i have been told, i never ran them in any of my cars personally, but, like GR stated earlier, have been proven time after time in all their cars...

I run them in my car and have been happy so far. Seems like pauter has better quality control than crower. Jotech also runs them in their 900+hp car!! thats good enough for me!!

I would run crower simply because they are lighter. For a street car they are perfect. Tony(jotech) and I weight a Puater, Crower, and manley and the crowers were the lightest.

Only if you are making 900+whp would I go with Pauter rods.

The weight was a concern when I switched to pauters but i thought about how many guys were running heavy *** 84+mm pistons on crower rods.I run a .020 over piston so i figured it would be ok.

My only complaint so far with Pauter is the fact that they take forever and a day to get a custom rod made. Im on 6 weeks and counting for my rods. Their ads say 3-4. When am i gonna learn that machine shop weeks and calender weeks are two different things.

We are considering Pauter for a new engine we are building for our car. The extra weight concerns me however.

Good info guys. Pauters website says that their LS rods weigh 520 grams. Anyone know how much Crowers LS rods weigh?
