Default Opinions....

Hi, I drive a 99 Civic EX coupe(D16Y8). I need an opinion....I drive my car daily for school, business, and etc. I was thinking of Purchasing the JRSC or just keep it N/A like it is now(dont say "Swap" I'm not planning to swap motor do to lazyness). I was thinking Turbo also from Edelbrock as another choice. I basically want to keep it smog legal do to strict California emissions.

Which would you choose if you guys were in my shoe's? N/A, S/C(JRSC), or Turbo(edelbrock)?

I dont know how many turbos are CARB legal. I think the greddy kit might be. You would need an intercooler and blow off valve if you go greddy.

Greddy on the stock boost will be legal. Definitely go with turbo, no matter what. You can run the greddy kit at 8 PSI all day and then turn it down to stock when you need to get tested. You could even disconnect the wastegate actuator arm, which will keep you out of boost (and thus keep the blue box from dumping in too much fuel).

No, DO NOT disconnect the Actuator Arm... Just disconnect the charge pipe to the compressor, and you won't reach positive pressure..

DIOS MIO...

You'll be fine w/ a Greddy Kit , BOV may pose a problem w/ visual inspection, but you're otherwise fine.
