open vs. closed loop?
im still confused about this. when i check the box to "disable 02 sensor" it will only be running off my fuel map i made in crome right? and then if i uncheck the box so that its running in closed lopp it is taking reading from my 02 sensor and then adjusting my fuel so that it wll run the best? so it will no longer read off the turbo map i made anymore? if so, when i want to tune, i will tune in open loop so that it only reads off the feul map so that i can see how my adjustments are going right?

if you disable the O2 sensor it will only read from the tables you tuned. If you are running open loop however it still reads the tables you have made but has the ability to modify them slightly to get that 14.7 a/f ratio. I personally run closed loop all the time, now that there is gear based load, iat correction et cetera you should be able to tune your car in closed loop and get great gas mileage in any weather and have a safe boost section as well

Cold start in open loop sucks. This is what I do.
I have 2 chips, one with closed loop enabled, and one disabled. Both the same program. I warm the car up in closed loop and when I'm ready to tune I shut the car off and switch chips so I'll now be running in open loop. Do my tuning, make the changes, and save the new program. I'll then save a copy of the new program with closed loop enabled and use that to drive with.
So now if I need to tune some more I repeat the process.
Edit. Also, the ECU automatically switches to open loop at WOT so it will reference your boost maps. In Uber, I've set my switchover point at 32% throttle. This puts me at about 4 inHg vacuum.

why does the cold start bother you, if it runs a little lumpy for 2 minutes thats pretty good lol
