Well, after searching and waiting 2 weeks I got a new non-leaking(so far) exhuast manifold gasket.

So, after installing it, I went to fill my car up with gas. I was thinking that maybe the pinging sound I thought I was hearing was really an exhaust leak. I decided tested my theory.

I got a little boost in second gear.....hmmm....no strange noise. I boosted a couple more time, still the strange noise seemed to be gone. This seems real good since the time I heard the noise it was cool outside, probably around 65 degrees, and today it is up near 90.

I filled the tank and did some more driving. I gave it some throttle while in 2nd again....seeing 5psi. Damn, it felt fast and I was only at around 6000rpms. I was suprised by the feeling of TQ...even though it was only from my little b16....

I did some more driving in a open lonely road. I didn't know where my boost was at so I did a partial 3rd gear pull. She quickly went up to 8-9psi and I immediatly let off the gas. It seemed to be running perfect when I got home, temp read normal, sounded good, nothing smoking......

I'm trailering my car to Payn Technologies in Michigan wensday. Hopefully I should then have my oil leaks fixed soon after that and I can really see what she has!

trust me, i know what its like.. try only getting to put on 8,000 miles in the last THREE years, and that INCLUDES THREE 2200 mile trips to atlanta!!!!!!!
