ground doesnt necessarily mean by truck...ground is also shipped by freight
and some companys will ship it by ground to california and from there its shipped by air for no extra charge.

i definately see matt is a very busy man and we have been talking about some custom things that we need to do to my manifold. hes a great guy, i just hope these materials hurry up and get here!

you are assuming wrong. ask n20civicb18 when he ordered, if im not mistaken it was after me. which now he has his stuff.

Yeah I was assuming because it was stated earlier that they make the manifolds in the order which it was ordered. That does not actually mean they ship them in the order it was ordered like I would think is the right way.

Certain Orders Require different Things to complete them. Both of their Orders consisted of Different parts to the Order. Its not as simple as sending the Same manifold to each customer.
All the Orders are sent out First come first serve as to who orders them. If im lacking Parts to complete one order, im not going to hold up the next order just because that person wasnt First. Not one person here Has an identical Order.

it actually turned out for the better. the way the setup would have been wouldn't allow me to run my radiator like i want to. since the delay me and matt will hopefully come up with a solution to my problem. if he had sent me the mani as he does the rest of them i would have had to send it back. overall im still a very happy customer.

One-Fab (Matt)= awesome quality and craftsmanship.
He went the "extra-distance to please the customer" in my case, there was a shipping mix up and he ended up OVERNIGHTING the package to me. you know that was damn expensive.
but expect to wait a couple months is normal.
if you need it in 5 or 6 days order a SSAutochrome or something.

i'm just saying expect to wait awhile if you order from him. I totally understand where U are coming from. I was initially told 4 weeks and it was more like 2 1/2 months. I believe his intentions are good when he gives an estimated time ,but he seems to run into snags here and there. Mine was he had to wait on Flex pipe to finish up my DP. something that was basically out of his control.

This thread made me think about the procedures for charging a credit card by merchants. My research found this: Newsgroups: misc.consumers,news.answers,misc.answers http://www.fortunaty.net/text/...scred
Somehow it seems if this procedure was followed by all vendors, there would not be a problem... except the vendor must come up with the "float" ...
Note that I couldn't find this info on a Visa, MC or AmX site to verify... but then again, I don't have a merchant account.
Q409. Can mail-order merchants charge my card before they ship?
According to Janet Hug of Visa USA, "a merchant is not permitted to
bill ahead of time" except in case of a deposit or down payment that
the customer agrees to. (phone call from Visa USA, 12 May 1992)
MasterCard said in a letter that a merchant can charge you before
shipment only if s/he tells you and you agree to "the terms and
conditions of the sale."
American Express said the merchant can charge your card as soon as
you give your account number; but if you receive the bill before the
merchandise, call Amex customer service and you don't have to pay
while they investigate. (phone call to Amex, 16 May 1992)
No ship, no charge!

You just need to realize that people that operate high volume sales/low manpower shops cant always answer the phones 100% or even 60% of the time as that would seriously cut into production and throw them off even more.
Also, you need to realize that **** DOES HAPPEN every now and then. It sucks when it happens to you personally but you gotta learn to roll with it and try not to be impatient and/or paranoid.
Sometimes tracking #'s wont work...not the shipper's fault, it's actually the shipping company's fault, they screw up sometimes. Sometimes packages get mis-routed, sometimes shippers get overwhelmed and think they shipped your package only to see it on the shelf the next week and slap their heads and then ship it.
I can honestly say this from experience. While I dont do much business on here, I do a buttload of it on ebay and I've had all hell break loose several times in the past with only 1 or 2 times total where the package just went poof or what-not and I had to make good.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I can seriously attest to this. This is why at my facility there's only Me, Pete and Chris our runner to take care of things. It can be frustrating, and even our stock can get bad, so I empathize..
Regardless, myself or Pete will always keep the customer informed of the status of any item, and do as best we can to make sure it's done correctly.
