Hello H-T people, i have a newbie question and any help will be greatly appreciated...

I just recently installed my turbo on my GSR like 2 weeks ago.. and my question is... am i supposed to be running out of oil this fast.. i put 5 quarts of 10w-30 in just to make it to the 2nd dot in my oil stick when i installed my turbo and i checked it today because my turbo is spooling but sometimes it doesn't want to so i checked the oil and its under the first dot. . is this normal? if so, where is this oil going? evaporating?

my car isn't leaking any oil, so im guessing it went somewhere?? please help me out.. thanks

Re: (BlackThorN)
are you seeing any oil in the piping of your turbo? You could have excessive blow-by but that sounds extreme.

Did you do a compression test? Rings could be bad and oil is getting by.

My first guess is bad valve seals. Compression and leakdown test will help you diagnose the problem.

p.s. I just got my turbo running on my gsr motor two weeks ago too!!! yeah!!!!!
