oil on threads for plugs

Default oil on threads for plugs

i did search and this my thing the oil is not on the tip of the plug or the valve cover side of the plug just on the threads is this a problem the car was fine did not use any oil before i did a turbo setup and i am not sure if it is useing oil now but i really don't want to drive it tell i figure out what is going on. that and it is cold up here in michigan anyway. i have heard this can mean rings are going but i have also heard it is normale just trying to find out if anyone else has seen this.

pretty common on all cars, what it proably is are the spark plug tube seals, and it wasn't enough to notice on the spark plug boot but it just settled down on the threads and when you pulled it out, it rubbed against the oil.. shouldnt be a big problem unless your car smokes blue smoke

if it's not on/in the end of your plug it's probably just the anti-sieze that you put on your plugs...at least hopefully you had anti-sieze on them.

no it was oil...i mean the anti-sieze was blue silver color not brown. but oh well i hope this is not a problem i just did not understand how it was getting there.

I wouldn't really worry unless the end of your plug was dripping w/ oil. I would try a compression/leakdown test to keep an eye on that cylinder. HTH.
