Default oil return?

well im putting my 42r on finally and the room is very tight in the crx. The return flange is kinda horizontal, it does go down in a downward into the pan though. will i have any drain issues with it being horizontal?

It should be as vertical as possible because the return is gravity fed. I wouldn't go furtther than a 45* angle for the eturn, but thats just me.

i thought i seen a few cars with the line completely horizontal directly into the pan. it still goes straight down into the pan. it just comes out horizontally.

post a pic. are you saying the return port on the turbo is horizontal? if so that is not going to work. if you are saying the line makes an "L" shape then i think that would be fine

see the section labeled oil drain, +/- 35* is the max variation. you are essentially at 90*, you will need to clock the turbo
