Oil pump probs
Ok here it is my friends 91 crx with a b16a and turbo with a 95 delsol b16a pump in it his oil feed is -4 and return is -10. now when the motor idles under 1000rpm oil light is on and the oil presure gauge reeds like 2psi what is going on.
1 the oil feed is too big??
2 oil pump is fucked
3something wrong in the motor
me lost

Nope, I'm running a -4 feed -10 return on mine and it works fine.

Sounds like a possibility

Also sounds possible. Maybe a bad bearing, oil pump problem, or something with the oil pickup as mentioned before could cause this. Where's the oil pressure guage getting it's reading from? Sometimes a bad placement can cause faulty readings, but if your oil light is on only at idle it really sounds like something's majorly wrong with the motor. I'd tear it down & find out what's wrong before driving it anymore...0-2 psi at idle is a quick ticket to ruined bearings-ville. :-/
Good luck man,
Ryan P.

Ok, what gauge? is it the 0-100 psi autometer? They are known for being off at idle... if your oil light is on, how is (the sender) connected? Tee fitting?
Start be getting a better (test) gauge...

My oil feed is -3 AN... I though most are. A -10AN return line is OK...
Have you changed the filter and checked the oil level?

Ok changed the motors put the Built bottom end in and the new head and new HONDA oil pump primed it. Honda oil Filter and changed the oil feed to -3 now the oil light comes on the same thing and its a new Honda sensor.
Now im thinkin the head is fucked cause this head is the one off the other motor so we are going to try tonight to change the Head to a stock B16A one and see if not then im lost
