Default Oil pump........

Is it necessary to upgrade your oil pump? I'm putting the finishing touches on my ls/vtec, so I have ls block. thanks Ls pump, or b16 pump?

If u gonna do ls vtec, your best bang is a type r oil pump, or gsr oil pump..... If ur gonna run the ls, theres gonna be some problems.

GSR/type r oil pumps are the same. I suggest buying one of these, $100 at my dealer. If you buy a 94-95 gsr oil pump they are $171 and only accept the obd-1 lower timing belt covers. If you go with a 96+ gsr you have to use a obd-2 96+ lower timing cover.

ALL 96+ integra pumps are the same ls/gsr/hype r go check the part numbers. Also including b20's

I never checked part numbers but I can recall several posts about type-r oil pumps put out slightly more pressure due to their higher redlines and power level etc., guess I was mis-informed

not to thread jack but what pump would be used on an OBD 0 b16a pr3 motor? and how hard is the install? Any links. Thanks
