***UPDATED*** Oil Pressure Issue.. PLEASE HELP!!!
Long story short... im not getting oil pressure to my turbo. Note that the parts have just been put on and today was the first time the car has been started since.
Heres the lay out... spin on adapter ran to oil filter relocator ran to oil cooler, ran back to spin on. The feed line is a Flamenco-T kit off the back of the block with another set of fittings off that for my oil pressure gauge and then the sending unit on the back of that . The gauge is mechanical. Its not even getting a reading, and no oil is making up the nylon tubing. We primed the turbo and pulled the retun line off because the oil light wouldnt go off and oil ran out. Well after running the car for a minute or so the light still wouldnt go off. Pulled the feed line off and no oil flow.
ANY IDEAS?????

damn d00d, still didnt figure this out? My brothers 4dr had a catastrophic oil pump failure(luckily he noticed some knocking before he sent rods through block walls), and ya, the engine is toast now. I hope youre oil pump is functioning

no but i will tonight.... the car has atleast 5 quarts in it.
one question i should ask is... the oil pan, the skinny part of it had to be hammered a little bit to make the 3" dp fit. now without taking the oil pan off (Im at work) can anyone explain what all is in that part of the oil pan. I neveer really pay attention the few times Ive had it off. Could I have blocked something off causing a blockage? any one have pics of the inside of an oil pan? I doint wanna puill it off if I dont have to. I will note though that when I first started the car oil poured out of the spin on adapter because it wasnt tightened down enough. So it was definitely going in and out of the stock oil filter location.

Ok so tonight we played trouble shooters againt and still no luck but we think it might have to do with the oil cooler set up. We arent getting any pressure out of the back of the block. We even took off everything and the sending unit and still only a dibble of oil when initial start up occured and then no oil flow from the high pressure side. A couple friends think it may have to do with the way the oil cooler and relocator are mounted and its causing a drop in oil pressure. Ill post pics here in about 20 mins.

Can you take pics of your oil pan as well? I"m thinking that when you hammered in your oil pan, you might have blocked off the oil pickup. it sits pretty close to the bottom of the oil pan.
"edit" NM, i just read your post up top again and missed the part about the "skinny part of the oil pan" my bad

Re: (phiberoptik)
Here is basically several pictures from start to finish of my oil cooler install. I know a couple things that could be fixed but i want to hear it from more experienced people.
Heres my goofy mug under my car. I took the oil pan off and splatter gaurd to make sure we didnt do any damage while making the down pipe fit (which never fit and is now 10" long).

Re: (spooler)
yeah remember that oil can only flow one way through an oil filter, make sure the oil is flowing the correct direction, we accidently hooked the lines up backwards on my oil cooler initially, and had the same problem, till we figured out that I put the lines at the back of the block on so the oil was trying to flow the wrong way through the filter.

troubled sol... no rob hasnt touched my car.
ill recheck the oil lines tomorrow when I get to the car.
we put 5 quarts in and the oil level measured between the dots so Im assuming its enough.
we pulled the oil cooler out of the mix and oput the filter ont he back of the blocka nd shot oil out so there is definitely pressure but Im going to recheck the lines and hope thats all it is...
my main question is witht he filter relocator where its at and the oil cooler how it is (fittings on the bottom) will thsat cause enough of a pressure drop?

The lines were crossed on the spin on adapter. I was certain I had them correct. Oh well.. just too bad all the shops were closed to get good oil. Only places open were gas stations that dont care Mobil 1 synthetic.
Will post more tonight.
