Yup your seals are gone. Replace them soon as you can. And since your oil is leaking watch out so you dont run out it then you are in for bigger problems.

your seal is bad.

i was wondering if you buy a rebuild kit for the turbo, do you need any special tools to get the turbo rebuilt or can DIYer do it by himself?

you could change the seals yourself but you would have to balance the wheels. thats really something you cant do yourself

I agree with you guys 100% .. BUT on my greddy 18G kit I noticed very little oil in the pipe right after the compressor. Now first I thought turbo seals, but hear me out. With the Greddy kit theres a hose from the crankcase breather thats routed back into the intake of the turbo. Im sure im getting some drops of oil (blow by) in there, therefore its not necessarily my seals thats cause small drops of oil in the piping, but the oil from the crank case ... see where im going or am I totally brain dead

Suggestions welcome, cause after all we are all still learning!

Oil in intake charge pipe ....That intercooler is an expensive oil cooler

Remember cheap turbo places ....""you get what you pay for"

There is a place here in Socal called Turbo city...there rebuild costs are reasonable and have a very good reputation great turn around time
