Oil line routing
Where do you guys have your oil feed line routed? Post setups. From back of block to tranny side or from back of block to the timing belt side?
Also in front of the turbo or behind the turbo between the block and the turbo for the feed line? thanks

Doesn't matter whatsoever. Pressure isn't gonna change from side to side. Just make sure it doesn't lay on anything hot. Also watch out because steel covered lines are abrasive so they can damage other things in your engine bay.

I think the most common is tranny side, I've had mine like that on the SOHC and DOHC. Keeps it away from the belts and exposed cam gears

Re: Oil line routing (GOLDBERG)
you can route them anyway you want, there's a reason we went with stainless steel braided hose, it can withstand a hot temp under the hood. As long as it does not touches any hot object such as downpipe, exhaust and etc, you should be fine..
use your common sense, make sure you have air space around the lines, use a zip ties so it doesn't get caught on belts and etc..

Re: Oil line routing (Flamenco-T)
i ran it on the timing belt side. my line wasnt long enough to go around the tranny side, and i didnt want it to hit the exposed timing belt, so it goes across the valve cover in that crease

Re: Oil line routing (GOLDBERG)
hasnt so far. i've seen a few other cars around here with the line ran the same way, so i really dont think it would pose a problem. i know that the line will stay in place though, and not move around and possibly melt something. it only gets in the way if you want to remove the valve cover.
well....besides that it could scratch my valve cover, it will be fine

Re: Oil line routing (CRX SiR T)
I bougth a fitting that goes on my turbo, its a straight fitting instead of the starndard bent L shaped one. So now the oil feed line feed directly on top instead of being bent cuz of hte other fitting. Is this bad in anyway? with the other fitting the line hit my radiator and fan shrowd. thanks
