Default oil leaking on downpipe! oil pan gasket help needed

i need to replace my oil pan gasket again. oil is leaking out of one of the edges and slowly pouring down the downpipe causing it to burn black. my downpipe is ugly looking now.

i dont have a torque wrench and i know people who just hand tighten it. i've asked techs at honda and acura dealers and they say they hand tighten it with a wrench as well.

what exactly is "hand tight"? do i tighten it until i cant tighten it with my hand anymore? if i apply enough force it will turn slowly, but how do i know when to stop? so i just turn it to the point where it wont turn anymore? do i turn it to the point where its tight but could be tighter if i lean more into the turn? i dont want to keep buying oil pan gaskets. it gets costly.

please help!

when you put the oil pan gasket on,use some gasket sealer...when you tighten the bolts down, they do not have to be very tight, make sure you are not tightening so much so that u compress the gasket.cant really explain hand tight, just tighten it till u the the gasket compress just a little
