I have a oil leak somewhere near my cat, i know its near my car becuase everytime i come to a stop and look under my car, theres smoke coming from the cat area (I looked at my downpipe and cat , and theres oil residue on it). The smoke coming from the cat is probbaly oil dripping on it, and the cat is burning it off causeing it to smoke. Any clues, or has anyone had this problem?

Could it be leaking from anything else? My guess was also oil pan gasket.

You wouldnt by chance have your oil line tee'd off something thats mounted on the fire wall, would you?!

I had the same problem. I had a -3an line comming from the oil pressure switch on the motor up to a set of T's on the firewall right behind the IM, and I forgot to wrench tighten the line that went to the turbo. I had oil dripping down onto the downpipe.

Check the Breather Chamber gasket. It's a long shot but you never know.

My oil feed is tee'd off to somewhere behind the block, forgot exactly where it was tee'd off to.. but theres oil around the fitting (oil feed fitting). But there are oil stains on the tranny side of my car.???
