i have a turbo out of a thunderbird, i can't clock the exhaust side, but i can the compressor side. my question is that will having the oil return on the side of the turbo instead of the bottom not work. it is on the far side( closer to the radiator than the block) thanks.

 

no, you need to pull the exhaust housing off and rotate it so it's facing down.
