oil feed line length
what is the standard length for the oil supply line off a sandwich plate to a garrett GT turbo on a D series engine?
on a similar note, has anyone done a hard line instead of the typical SS braided rubber lines for both oil feed and water cooling?

Re: oil feed line length
Care to share the experience, tips, parts list and photos? I would prefer to do all of them thy way with short rubber flex portion for the stock appearance.

actually, the only real question about that i have is what did you use to go from the 4AN on the oil restrictor, did you use barb ends, or 4AN tube sleeve and nut?

Re: oil feed line length
All AN fittings for the oil feed.
I use a short hard line (originally for brakes) from the parts store that I bent to contour around the turbo and manifold. Mainly to keep the braided line from contacting the manifold and due to the way the turbo is clocked gave me room for the restrictor which I couldn't fit otherwise.

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: oil feed line length
They sell restrictors that are NPT based... It's not hard really, just like running brake lines or fuel lines. Pretty basic if you ask me. I personally wouldn't use rubber anywhere if you are taking the time to hard line it. As long as everything is attached to the engine, you don't have to worry about ruptures due to flexing.

Looks good. Although I will change back to hard line after a length of braided rubber. Run along the engine block to the source.
