oil feed line
does anyone use a restrictor or a needle valve to turn down the oil pressure to the turbo, in my first setup I had problems smoking and I figured my oil pressure was too high, I now have new turbo and rebuilt engine, looking at picture on these forums and magazines I dont see anything, I this necessary? can a turbo handle 70-80 psi of oil pressure?
so does this mean that no have any knowledge on this subject? or is it my link at the bottom that cause no one to reply to my question? I thaught this was a forum for people who needs help, and custom setups, not for people who want to show off there jdm greddy kits
Some people say that it is too much pressure. There was some guy on ht a little while back selling restrictors to lower the oil pressure going to the turbo. Search and you should find all kinds of posts.
that is the idea of using a -3AN feed line vs. a -4AN. the best way is to put a pressure gauge after a valve/restrictor and set it up so you know there is no more than 65psi peak. It's a pain in the *** but then you know it's right and can worry about other FI related things
