Default oil feed fitting ??

i have a jdm d15b and this side^^ of the fitting that gos into the oil line fits perfectly into my block. the side thats supposed to fit in my oil feed position doesn't. i got a two-sided thread with both ends looking like what is cirlced above and it fits perfectly, not loose. is this normal in a jdm block?
thanks in advance.

The tapered end of the fitting is for your hose end. The hose end won't go onto anything but the tapered side.
