Default Oil Cooler Orientation?

I am in the process of reintalling my freshly built turbo setup plus a couple new additions, and have come to a hurdle. I think know the answer but could use some confirmation, does it matter whether you mount oil coolers vertically or horizontally?? I would mount the Greddy Oil Cooler per the instructions, but there is a space conflict with the PWR backdoor intercooler. See picture for clarification. Thanks in advance for any responses...

The oil cooler outlet port has to either face upward or be above the inlet port so that air in the system can bleed out and not accumulate in the cooler.

That means that the oil cooler cannot be mounted so that the ports face downward, and if you mount the oil cooler with the ports facing to the side, then the outlet port must be above the inlet port.

Hey jdmvtec28-

Are you using a thermostat? What kind did you opt for, and are you using a remote oil filter? Where did you mount all these?

thanks

The greddy oil cooler kit comes with a sandwich adapter plate; that goes in between the oil filter and the block, it has a built in thermostat. And no I am not running a remote filter, I have too much clutter in my engine bay as is, and do not want the headache of trying to track down additional possible oil leaks. I will post some pictures of everything tomorrow when I get down mounting everything.
