Yeah that cast manifold cracked from an impact, theres no way it cracked just for the sake of cracking like the ebay tubular junk. I personally ran a ebay cast log that costm 135bucks for a while and it was just fine

95 integra ls
original motor at 206k (turbo and tuned at 194k)

ebay turbo
ebay cast manifold
ebay 38mm wastegate
ebay boost controller
treadstone 2.5" ic kit
precision 440cc
xenocron 255lph fuel pump
3" dp/tp bottlenecked to an hks hipower (60mm)

280whp/252wtq @ 12psi
tuned by jk-tuning at IMW on a dynapack
on neptune chip

no problems what so ever! pulls hard as hell, burns some oil but not a big deal, just keep up with the oil levels and keep it at the right amount

edit: also an ebay 6puck (xtd stage 4) clutch, grabs hard, never slips, weak pressure plate so it won't do a burn out haha but it makes DD much easier

good numbers for low boost.

as for the clutches. they work pretty good for basic setups. they always feel similar to stock which I hate. I love the feel of a nice stiff p.p.

I've had great luck with ebay clutches too. They certainly aren't as smooth as a high dollar setups but for the price you can't beat them.

also, are you guys all using the ebay intake/intercooler piping? I've hear they are ***** but I don't have the ability to make my own custom setups so would be interested to see what you are all using.

a buddy of mine purchased some and it is junk, the wall on the piping is super thin and it feels like if you dropped it or something it would break

i have ebay intercooler piping, and bov, and downpipe, and the intercooler piping for 100$ with the bov is pretty nice, but it did require cutting almost every piece to make it fit, but it seems to hold up well and it comes with good couplers and clamps, and the downpipe looks great and for 80$ its doing its job like it should

you can do the 1 size fits all for i.c. piping and just cut each one to fit and run alot of couplers. Iv always hated how many couplers you have to use doing that route though. on my new setup I only have 3 couplers lol

Yeah to many couplers make the motor look ugly and there always some random color like blue or yellow. I got to say though for the price u cant beat the ic, piping, and bov. I mean piping is piping right? and as long as the ic isnt holdin u back and is decently cooling the air than it should b fine also. Id probably opt for a name brand if i was making over 350hp.
Iv ran nothing but f1 clutches for my builds. I had a stage 3 6puck on my turbo b16 which held up great, no slipping, felt stock, made at least 300hp and ran that clutch for two years. I sold it to my buddy with a b20/v and he popped all the springs out within 2 months, so he purchased another one and once again the springs popped out. I have a f1 six puck on my sohc which is at stock power levels and have had no problems. From what iv read cause i have no experiance with the xtd's, they seem to **** up a lot more than the f1s and with the xtd iv heard u gotta get the stage 4 pp cause there is a big clamping force differance between the stage 3 and four.

Heres a XTD stg.4 Pressure plate we broke at the track a few weeks ago, had it in a 400 WHP + B16. Lasted about a year. Took a picture of it and sent pic to XTD, next day they sent out a new clutch kit for free. LOL. No hassle warranty.

ya Iv had no issues with getting f1 to warranty their clutches either. even if it was due to installer error. the most they will ever ask for is for you to send back the parts.

just got my ebay cam gear for my z6 head. it was only 29.99 shipped. I was quite surprised by the quality actually. the bolts for adjustment were a much bigger thread size then used on most cam gears so it seems alot stronger and resistant to stripping. also all the timing marks were dead on unlike a set of B series cam gears Iv had in the past from ebay (pieces of ****)

heres my manifold that I got for 68 shipped. its really nice. somewhat long runners for a cast mani and its flanged for a t3 and t4 hot side. the wastegate sits at an angel for hood clearance which is a must in a ef. I just saw that EMUSA started making stainless cast manis too. they look pretty nice for around $200

Friend of mine got a godspeed ramhorn for his SOHC....its interesting, its not the shiny one you see on eBay.

It actually looks like legit metal lol. the welds arent bad either, with some bracing and some cleaning up at the collector it could be pretty legit..

regardless, I'm not on an eBay turbo but it is a journal type, and I can say to NOT run a restrictor...I did that on my Garrett TB0344 journal turbo....lack of oil starved the ****er, got some gnarly shaft play and went bye bye...fuuuuuuuuuuucked up

not true for all journal bearing turbos. I had a garrett t04e 60 trim on my ls-t and ran a oil restrictor with no issues.

you should post some pics of that ram.

most of the ebay tube manifolds Iv seen have been complete garbage, tiny primarys and crappy welds not to mention they are paper thing and nothing lines up. but as I have noticed quite a bit is alot of things on ebay are greatly improving in quality.

I got this turbo in a trade, the guy I got it from said he didnt know anything about it, he got it from a friend.. blah blah..

anyways, im guessing its off eBay.. it says "DSM-EVOIII" on type it says "T3"..its a pretty small turbo, brand new..

just wondering if anyone has used it? any info on it? A/R, trim, what kind of power it can make, etc..

thanks!

Everything Garret is china or Mexico now. So I wouldn't car to get a egarrett. I'm personally running a old rebuilt American Garrett turbo with a 70ar compressor and a 63turbine. 57 trim.

why so more shops can do shady things and scam people? look around. I know that me buying foreign parts isn't why things are crappy. maybe if people were honest and wouldn't scam their customers I might lend them a hand and buy parts from then.

Glad someone got decent customer service from XTD, I sure as **** didn't. Here is what my clutch looked like after 1k miles, the first 500 being NA with no burnouts, hard launches or shifts. The other 500 being on 6lbs daily and 13 on weekends. Started to slip on the dyno at 13lbs so we stopped turning the boost up

Notice the missing chunks from the disk. I emailed XTD and never got a response from them, even after multiple times calling them.

I would avoid the ebay boost controllers, other then that I have seen the turbos make decent power and last.

ya the boost controllers are garbage. if you wanna cheap mbc just build one. as for xtd Iv had much better luck with f1. they are actually pretty friendly when I contacted them to replace a clutch disk that grenaded.

as for your clutch going to crap you should have driven hard on it from the get go. thats what Iv always done without any issues. and at least then you could break it quick enough to file a paypal claim and possibly get a little bit of money back.

my ebay cast manifold had all the bolts strip with the t3/t67 turbo in 3rd gear. Boosted hard and boom turbo falls off....great. Still sent the ebay manifold in to upgrade to ARP's rather than go with another manifold. The cast manifolds worked fine for me. Never seen a break like the one likn on here...****...
