Did the tuner give any indication on when he thought it would run out of gas?

I was the one who tuned both. The b20 had a fuel pressure issue that's been resolved, otherwise I could have pushed it a little more. The gsr will definitely make more power on more boost but the customer wanted 450. I also tuned a sleeved b16 84mm motor, eBay ram, eBay 35r, the cheaper one, in a full weight ek sedan on 24lbs that ran a 10.9 at 134mph. That was a really simple setup that made great power on pump gas. Just itr intake cam, skunk2 manifold and the rest was eBay stuff.

^^ What is the max you've seen on an ebay "57 trim"? I've installed a billion of them over the years but usually they're on mild setups. I'm running one currently and plan to totally max it out once I get my forged stroker setup in the car within the next few months. I have seen a few dynos of 450+ on youtube and wherever but those could be the exceptions and not the rule. I honestly don't think it has that much left in it but I'm only looking for about 450 for now anyway. If I have trouble making that I'll probably pick up a GT35 rep or an HX35 rep. They've got HX35s for $115 shipped right now lmao.

Im in the same boat. I got a 2.0 build in the works and I wonder how far they can go. I believe ive seen a youtube video of a T70 ebay turbo hitting 500whp. But after that things get sketchy. Obviously there is going to be a point where they poor quality starts showing itself. I wanna be cheap but I will probably do the right thing and go with a "cheap" Borg. If I was looking for 450-500 on a simple piston and rod setup. Id be all over one of these. But I have too much in my build and the goal is 600+ for me.

Good luck with your build though and definitely keep up updated.

^ I prefer the emusa 50 trims. I was looking for the one I like to post a link for you but couldn't find it. eBay stuff is always changing.

in regards to the 57 trim hp, most of the ones I see do anywhere from 330 on the low end to about 370. If you wanna make more power get the eBay 35r, they do really well and mine is holding up great. It has very minimal lag for the hp capabilities as well and it's pretty damn snappy.

This one is REALLY close to mine. Mine is a .63 turbine/.60 compressor.

I think I'm just gonna grab an ebay 35r. I found one with a 5 bolt downpipe flange and oil cooled only for $238 shipped. No brainer since it will just be a bolt on replacement for what I have.

Anybody ever try and use a eBay 35r with a revhard/Turbonetics cast manifold? I don’t know how big the difference is between a emusa 57 trim and the 35r
