Odd Breaking up problem???
So you know it's in the ignition then. .
I guess the stock system isn't strong enough, and the MSD you have is fucked? Are you on the second MSD box, or you said new 6al because you purchased it new and threw it in?
If you only tried one MSD box, that may be your problem.

I tried two brand new MSD boxes and both had the same result.....now I put a new coil in along with the MSD box and it ran the same...so my coil was deffinatly bad, but didn't solve my problem
so I think the MSD box is actually ok.

what fuel pump are you running and do you have proper voltage going to it under load? Try monitoring fuel pressure and see what it does when the break up happens. Both of those cars that had this break up problem i went ahead and wired relays to supply the pumps with 12v...The problem also could be the vtec crossover point might not be in the right spot. Or, is cam timing straight up? Are you running the enough ignition advance in the hondata? Hope this helps.

im useing a walbro intank, but with factory wireing. the fuel pressure stays up when it starts to break up and the fuel pump is at good voltage.
IM going to pull my tranny to see if I can find out my my VSS keeps getting chewed up...maybe that will help.

Are u using a msd ss blaster coil or a stock coil?
tripple check and quadruple check your wiring and make sure you don't have any grounds where there isn't supposed to be any.

I am useing an MSD blaster coil. I have just redid all my grounds and made sure that all wireing is correct.....I am still ahving the exact same problem...is there anyone near me that I can just take this thing to. Its killing me having this car here and not being able to use its potential.

MSD's eat ignitors like fat kids eat cake. I bet thats the problem. Same **** happened to Tbone's car.
I have a CEL of a VSS due to the fact that I put an LSD in and it keeps eating my VSS gears. Can this be aproblem? Could it not be jumping to high speed maps?
.[/QUOTE]
while i don't think this is a problem with breaking up (ignition maps are based off diztributor RPM, not VSS readings) its som, ethign to lok into as far as your LSD install

Have you replaced the coil??
If you haven't its cheap and I would give it a try, i know of a fev coils that have caused 3 cars that I personally know of that have broken up up top.

Have you checked all of the distributor wires to make sure the continuety (sorry bad spelling) is all the same from the ecu to the distributor?
Is your injector wiering streght, also is the resistor box for the injectors in good shape?
How about this does the car rev freely past 5000rpm when its just sitting there?
