So are you saying that you contacted Full-Race about a defective product and they told you to get lost? I could be wrong, but I find that very difficult to believe. Unless the crack was the result of a wreck or something other than the quality of craftsmanship. They have an excellent reputation for customer service.
Have you ever dealt with OBX's 'customer service'? I'm pretty sure you buy their parts at your own risk, meaning if it cracks in a week you're SOL. There has literally been hundreds of threads by people complaining about their OBX turbos/manifolds failing after very short periods of time, and I have yet to see ONE SINGLE POST from ANYONE that has had a good experience with OBX's customer service.

It's true that for the price of a high quality FR manifold you could buy two low quality OBX manifolds. It seems that the OBX's generally last anywhere from a week to a few months(I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say a whole year, which is VERY generous).

To the Original Poster: It's all up to what YOU want out of YOUR car. If you're OK with and prepared to have to replace/repair & uninstall/reinstall your exhaust manifold at least once a year and deal with the headaches associated with it(such as not being able to drive your car, breaking down on the road/track, etc.), then you might not be terribly disappointed with an OBX quality manifold. Or you could pay a little bit more for a high quality product, like Full Race makes, put it on your car, and most likely never have to worry about it again.

I don't think he was saying that there's anything wrong with 'show cars'. Most likely the point he was trying to make is that the overall worth of a modified vehicle is more or less the sum of it's parts. You can build a shiny 'show' car with parts from Autozone and Pepboys. You could also spend a lot more money and time building a car with high quality parts with R&D behind them and were meant for the given application. One car is going to be much nicer than the other(I'll give you a hint that it's not the Pepboys car). People that are not particularly car savvy may not be able to notice the difference, but ask anyone who knows what they're talking about, and they'll be able to tell the subtle differences that puts the given cars into completely different classes.

cool story bro. OBX manifolds are garbage. I installed on a friends car, got tuned and by the end of the day it had 3 cracks. Took it off fixed it and went for a week before cracking in two other spots. Took it off and hanged it on the wall for decoration and to show people that mani suxs. He ended up buying a cast log. Sorry if you're mad buddy but you don't know anything about my car. I run a synapse ramhorn that has never gave me problems. I won't trade quality for quantity. I'm not saying anything bad on a "show car" but if you're trying to show something off it has to be nice and legit.

Just curious what manifold the original poster decided to go with, and how it's held up?

still tucking and shaving. I was just trying to see what peoples thoughts were for when I get to the engine mods. I have decided to go with a ram horn style and spend at least 700.
