Default OBX turbo manifold?

I was wondering if this was a decent brand? Not dirt cheap but not crazy expensive. Does anyone have experience with this brand?

I'm looking to get a SS manifold that is for show and moderate go. Not building a 500hp beast but I don't want it to crack a week after I install it.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Junk! I'd go with revhard, peak boost, full race, inline pro, p2r etc...

Had a buddy with an OBX turbo mani, burned through that in about 1-2 months. Cracks all over the place.

If you are looking for an inexpensive manifold, the only reliable option is cast. Don't waste your time with this OBX manifold...it will be nothing but headaches until you inevitibly replace it (and spend more in the long run)

So if I want a SS mani (this is a show car as well) I should expect to pay about 3-4 hundred for a decent one?

I know the best bet is cast but I also need the "looks" factor

^ Phil @ Spoolin makes an excellent log mani with downpipe and wastegate dump in the 600 range. Quality at a good price. Or you could pick up a used mani from the H-T marketplace.

I made 500hp on my OBX ram horn. and it is still not cracked after 5 months. but my full race manifold cracked 2weeks after I got it. I know that was a fluke but still. the obx is not a bad manifold. flow is about the same since it is identical to the full race in every way. and for the price it was a great buy. as far as log manifolds go only buy one if it is a DD. cuz they flow like crap

So youre saying the OBX was better than the "full-race" that went after two weeks? I call it BULL!

no i am saying they put out the same numbers and just because you pay crazy$$$$$ for something doesn't make it the greatest thing on earth. there are times when spending crazy money is not necessary. this is one of those times. the obx does fine for the money.

I figured that I would find both ends of the spectrum when asking this question. So D-TRIX, you personally have had good luck with OBX? Do you feel it would be a good buy if I'm running 220-280hp? Might be upgrading internals to try for 375 later.

i am sorry but what is a bih? y is obx bs? do u have concrete proof that there is anything wrong with an obx manifold? in fact have you ever owned an obx manifold? or a full race? I have both so I think i am in a good place to say what is better about one over the other. and are you saying there is something wrong with someone wanting to show there car? or is it that you cant afford parts that look nice so all u have to say is that people cant show there car because your car looks like BS?maybe it is that your car is such a piece that nobody wants to see it? what ever the case this thread is about the power output of a manifold and not your opinion. and for what I paid for my full race I could have gotten 2 obx manifolds and had a spare if one broke. and it looks good to.

This thread is awesome, OBX products and customer service is worse then picking up a wet used band-aid found on a side walk and then trying to put it on an open wound.

Is there a STAINLESS STEEL (others have not gotten that I want SS) mani that you would recomend? What is a good wall thickness to look for? I do show this car but also plan on trying to get 400hp out of it in the future so it has both show and go. I just don't want to have someone ask to see under the hood and be embarassed to show them. I don't like hack jobs. Form and Function.

So InlinePRO has a cast stainless mani that looks like it could be polished for show but has log-like construction. On sale on their site for $495. Good deal???
