I have a 2000 integra LS Turbo obd2b, just about to get it running ... just waiting on my obd2b to obd2a conversion harness ... got a question.... I have a Apexi power fc standalone ems obd2a. Will it throw check engine lights??? since its obd2 and i have no O2 sensors in my 3" exhaust ....or since its a standalone ems it wont have any CEL codes built into the base map....any input would help??
The OBD2 ECU is what throws CELs.
You are removing it to run a high priced feature lacking standalone with OBD2A plugs so what is there to throw codes? The OBD2B ECU on your closet floor?

No. The power FC may be setup of the OBD2A wiring harness, but it does NOT throw CEL lights for 02 or any emissions controls. When you do setup the system and tune with it, you use your stock map sensor WITH the Denso 3 bar map sensor that comes in the "boost kit" (That plugs into the little white outlet on the side of the ECU). WHen the car goes past 11psi (the threshold of the stock map sensor) you will see the Check engine light illuminate, but don't be concerned with that. That is simply the computer seeing that the stock oem map has reached past its threshold. It is sort of a quirk that Apex'i didn't mean to happen, even though the ecu can be made for boost, it was something they just didn't change, because even though the power fc is a standalone, it is based off of the stock ecu map, so the car can start. It took me a while to figure that out while I was in session with my tuner.
Power FC is a great management system, but not the most popular with Honda enthusiasts, because of the wide variety of choices there.
As for your OBD2A code problem, you won't have one with this.
