Since day one I have been told to look at WHP not PSI but.....
When I talked to my tuner he told me that since I will be boosting a stock GSR he personally wont tune pass 10psi for relability reasons. I always thought that a stock gsr was good for ~320WHP. My goal is to get over 300WHP for my DD using a
-ramhorn with a 3"DP through a 3" exhaust
-a T3/T4 57trim
-TIAL 38mm WG
-3bar Map sensor
-ARP headstuds
-Hondata IM gasket
-Tuned on S300
-93 octane
I guess I am unclear as to why now PSI is being looked at and since the day I started researching turbo's I have always been told to look at WHP not PSI. Is anything over 10psi too much for a stock GSR and the rings cant take it or what? Thanks for the help.

A. what size is your exhaust side of your turbo?
B. if your unsure of your tuner & don't trust him, get a second opinion from a different tuner!
* bottom line is, your hp still shouldn't exceed 320ish on stock block gsr.

Unsure at this time what one I will get, thats why I didn't list it,
I trust the tuner and I would rather have him be conservative than be unrealistic and say that he would tune a stock GSR reliable for 400WHP but I guess I just don't understand the whole 10psi.

He did know my setup and thats when he told me 10psi, I'm just figuring that its to cover his own *** by reducing the chance of something happening.

Better off asking him this question yourself and going from there

I could see 10psi getting you close to that 320whp mark.
