Default obd2 p28.. chipable or not?

I've read both.. and i was just wondering what the correct answer is.

p28 is obd1 and yes it's chippable.

mmm actually theres an obd2 p28 too.. came out of a del sol 1996

There is such a thing as an obd2 p28. It is not compatible with crome, hondata, ectune or any obd1 eprom editing system.

They do sell a socket type thing that acutally lays on the processor of the OBD2 ecu. But there aren't any editors out there that I know of publically that will let you edit it.

i see. where would i have to get it tuned then.. or is it not possible. i just need to stay obd2 for emissions, but i wanted to try to run an ecu for boost, but i guess i will need the AEM F/IC

You can always just convert it to obd1 and run that during the year. Then pop in the OBD2 stuff with all the stock sensors to pass emissions.

wouldn't i run rich as ***** and run the risk of blowing the engine? there a bunch of *** hats when they drive the cars, they try to burn out and ****.
