well I had a d16z8 obd 2 convert to obd 1 into my 93 civic hb. didnt change anything but to a p28 ecu b/cuz my car is obd 1. Use my old engine wire harness and rewired the vtec wires. However I had a check engine light from a sensor from the intake manifold. Distributor can stay, all you have to do is rewired it, someone gave me instruction on how to rewired it. If you want to change it to OBD 1, all you probably need is a ECU and a obd 2 to obd 1 ECU harness. and I think you would want to keep the y8 intake manifold beceaue the intake plentum is bigger.

my only concern would be my AVCR and VAFC, will the actual wires still connect to the same spot in the ECU? or would i need a obd1 ECU then the wiring would just be the same as a obd1 car?

**well you can keep your car obd 2 if you don't want to rewire your avc-r and vafc, and probably have to hook up a knock sensor into the y6, because OBD 1 doesn't comes with one for 92-95 sohc vtec. You would have to keep your Y8 intake manifold and distributor and injectors.

**if you want to convert to obd-1, I think you would need to rewire the wires and a few other things.
