O2 sensor....important or no?
So, from my previous posts, I've posted that I was at 11lbs. Turns out (after my boost gauge re-install) I'm only boosting 8lbs, which to me is a great thing!
My question is, knowing that we have to retard the timing for our s/c setups, when I retard my timing to 16 degrees, my car runs like ***. It bogs like hell and misfires.
I'm running an Apex N1 catback exhaust w/o a cat and my friend didn't put the 2nd O2 sensor in so its reading about a 1.24. Could this be the reason for my car to bog? misfire? burnt plugs?
Also, I've noticed that when I run the BKR7E spark plugs, my car also runs like ***. When I put back my Denso Iriduims though, my car runs strong and better.
My current setup:
98 GSR
Jackson Racing Supercharger--8lbs
Stock injectors (DSM blacktop 450cc Injectors in the mail)
FMU
AEM Fuel Rail
Walboro Fuel Pump
B&M fuel pressure gauge
Magnaflow Spark Plug wires
MSD Ignition Coil and box(?)
AEM cam gears
Short Ram intake
DC 4-2-1 Header
ApexI N1 Catback Exhaust W/O cat
Thanks in advance.

Anymore playing with FMU's and manually retarding the timing is a waste. Get the 450's and tune it on CROME or get a local that's capable to tune it for you.
Close the gaps on your plugs to about .028, and get real tuning...that's the true answer.

how about hondata s100? I got it for dirt cheap. and the BKR7Es were set to .30.

My ignition is in proper condition. question though:how come my car runs like *** when I run the colder plugs???

Re: (end005)
gap your plugs down to .30-.27 see if it helps.
BTW: If you retard your distributor yes, it will help, but your low end will suffer drastically.
It is their way of "making it safe to run" without revamping the ECU.

I did that and it made my car almost undrivable becaues of the constant bogging and hesititation.
